Chemical Composition: Each 100 g contains:
Ceftiofur (HCL) 10 g
Excipients up to 100 g.
INDICATIONS: A broad-spectrum antibiotic that widely affects Gram-positive and Gram-negative
bacteria such as (Escherichia coli – Salmonella – Klebsiella – Haemophilus – Clostridium –
Staphylococcus and Streptococcus). Ceftiofur is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and within an hour of administration reaches a high concentration in the blood. It is used in the treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory, digestive and urinary systems in broilers.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to penicillins and cephalosporins.
Impaired hepatic or renal function.
side effects: it may notice allergy symptoms.
Drug interaction:
It should not be given concomitantly with tetracyclines and sulfa compounds.
Usage: via drinking water.
Dosages and duration of use: (10 – 20 mg / kg body weight)
Poultry: 100g / 200 liters of drinking water for 3 – 5 consecutive days.
Withdrawal period: 7 days.
Other warnings:
Drinking water for treatment should be replaced every 12 hours.
Preservation: It is kept in a cool, dry and dark place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
