A broad-spectrum antibiotic that widely affects Gram-positive and Gram-negative
bacteria such as (Escherichia coli - Salmonella - Klebsiella - Haemophilus - Clostridium -
Staphylococcus and Streptococcus). Ceftiofur is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and within an hour of administration reaches a high concentration in the blood. It is used in the treatment of diseases that affect the respiratory, digestive and urinary systems in broilers
Hypersensitivity to penicillins and cephalosporins
Impaired hepatic or renal function
it may notice allergy symptoms
It should not be given concomitantly with tetracyclines and sulfa compounds.
Dosages And Duration Of Use
(10 - 20 mg / kg body weight)
Poultry: 100g / 200 liters of drinking water for 3 - 5 consecutive days.
It is kept in a cool, dry and dark place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
Drinking water for treatment should be replaced every 12 hours.
